WOMEN FILMMAKERS’ GAZE ON ITALIAN CINEMA TODAY

A fresh opportunity to debate gender equality, titled “Find the Differences: Women Filmmakers’ Gaze on Italian Cinema Today”, organized by 100autori’s group Pari Opportunità in collaboration with WGI and ANAC. This year, the focus is on the profile of women filmmakers on the Italian film scene: in recent years, their number has grown, yet there is still a sizeable gender gap as concerns budgeting, with productions helmed by women directors relegated to significantly lower funding compared with their male counterparts. Guest speakers include Carolina Cavalli, Piera Detassis, Ilaria Fraioli, Alina Marazzi.
