This is the story of an eternal childhood from which springs the shape and meaning of all to come. Where are you? Where am I? Why are we here? How did everything change, and we never noticed? Time has passed, and no one will come again to shout outside my window. And in this darkness that seems to surround everything, we realize the slightest sign would have been enough: a gesture, a song, a word, a kiss, one’s presence. It would have been simple, if our goodwill had become doing good.

“This is the most important film I have ever made, or ever will.” (Bonifacio Angius)
Bonifacio Angius (Sassari, 1982) is a director, screenwriter, actor, director of photography, and film producer. Critics have taken notice; he is considered one of the most original voices to emerge on the contemporary Italian film scene. His first film, Perfidia, screened in competition at the Locarno Film Festival in 2014 to overwhelming critical acclaim and earned Angius the Junior Jury Award. Four years later, his next film, Ovunque proteggimi premiered at the Torino Film Festival and, this time as well, was a critics’ and audience favorite. In 2018, his short Destino, in which Angius also plays the starring role, was tapped for the International Critics’ Week as the special event closing film. His third feature, I giganti, screened at the Locarno Film Festival in 2021.
