Isola Edipo and Giornate degli Autori, in collaboration with the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, dedicate the ninth edition of Cinema of Inclusion: Between Vision and Education to a reflection on the critical role of cinema in an increasingly fragmented world, with the participation of filmmakers Céline Sciamma, Caroline Poggi, and Jonathan Vinel.
This year’s edition will thus be marked by a rich plurality of artistic voices coming together to explore the role and transformative power of the visual arts in shaping a collective imaginary within a disintegrating world. The initiative stands at the intersection of artistic vision and educational purpose, reaffirming its role as a platform for critical reflection and cultural engagement.
At a time when traditional paradigms and interpretive frameworks are rapidly dissolving, the event turns to artists – tightrope walkers by nature, between differing realities – as essential guides in reconstructing a gaze capable of containing contradictions, paradoxes, boundaries, and diverse film languages. The dialogue between the different yet equally radical cinematic visions of Céline Sciamma, Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel offers an opportunity to explore the contemporary paths film can take to face a real- ity inundated by image production and simultaneously deprived of coherent perspectives.
