CARLANTONIO LONGI

A masterclass held by Luca Siano, in collaboration with Ferrara La Città del Cinema and Archivio Sandro Simeoni, dedicated to the astonishing career of the painter, illustrator, and poster artist Carlantonio Longi. Born in Livorno in 1921, Longi designed posters for the Neorealist classics, from The Bicycle Thief to Bitter Rice, and masterworks such as Senso by Luchino Visconti and L’avventura by Michelangelo Antonioni, not to mention his very original score for The Hawks and the Sparrows by Pier Paolo Pasolini.
