In Tevere Corsaro the stories of three marvelous utopians are interwoven, each of whom, with their own dreams, campaigns to get a Pasolini bicycle path established from Rome to Ostia, along the Tiber River. A story of civil engagement and a documentary that bears witness to – and we dedicate to – the legacy of a filmmaker as impassioned and pure as Pietro Balla.

TEVERE CORSARO

In today’s Rome, the paths of Sven, a Norwegian cycling activist and Pasolini fan; Giulia, a young farmer defending her land from encroaching developers; and Mario, a Roman with a heart of gold, all cross, in the struggle to create a Pasolini bicycle path along the river, from Rome to the sea. With powerful landowners, mediocre politicians, and all the red tape going against them, this unlikely trio fights for a utopia that combines nature and community, in a struggle that reflects the quandary of the Western world.
