Tradition holds that the pre-opening event at the Villa degli Autori, on the night of August 27, is the awards ceremony for Bookciak, Azione!, a joint initiative of the Giornate and SNGCI that aims to identify emerging talent, who try their hand at producing a short short (the booktrailer format) revisiting different kinds of Italian narrative. This year Lorenzo Mattotti will be chairing the jury.
