The Venice Days in Canada
After a promising inaugural collaboration in 2015, the Phi Centre and Venice Days are teaming up once again from March 15 to 19 to present the event Venice Days. For the occasion, Sylvain Auzou, Programmer and Deputy Director of Venice Days, collaborated with Danny Lennon, Film Commissioner of the Phi Centre, to select 10 films from the Venice Days programming. Mr. Auzou will be on site for the event to present his favorites, all presented as Montreal premieres.
"There's a long story with Quebec films at Venice Days and this series can offer a good taste of what we're doing as part of the festival. Such as Cannes Quinzaine des réalisateurs, Venice Days is a competitive section of the Venice Film Festival which aims to provide a platform for films that are not too abstract, while being quality works that will satisfy the public" Sylvain Auzou
