Tradition holds that the pre-opening event at the Villa degli Autori, on the night of August 29, is the awards ceremony for Bookciak Azione!, a joint initiative of the Giornate and SNGCI that aims to identify emerging talent, who try their hand at producing a short short [the booktrailer format] revisiting different kinds of Italian narrative. This year filmmaker Daniele Vicari will be chairing the jury.
